Well there’s a week and a half to go till Loafstock II the (now annual) best event in most peoples calendars (well the people I know anyway). I was mentally going through the list of things to do last night and there’s quite a bit. In fact so much so that I marched into the shed and got the strimmer out to cut down the jungle around the beehive so that I can get the mower out. The pizza oven was a star draw last year so it needs to be on top form and unfortunatly we havent managed to replicate it since so the pressure is on this week to get it fired up and working.
Its a lot more difficult than you would think getting a fire going in a small dome and keeping it red hot all day, there’s a couple of hours prep and initial burning needs to be done to get it up to speed and its a real science, unfortunatly I havent a clue about these sorts of things so I blindly lob in wood, firelighters and lanp oil till it seems to get going, so far it hasn’t.
I’m just hoping the weather holds out as we can’t fit 70 people in our living room.
