Bake Sale

Bake Sale

As part of our effort to join the Cure Leukaemia 100 club (raising money to help find a cure for leukaemia), we are having a bake sale. Everyone has bought in cakes, most expertly cooked at home some woefully purchased from the shop, but all in all a good effort. Mrs Loaf made a chocolate and courgette cake and to be honest she was grateful for the excuse to use up the glut of massive courgettes we have (if anyone wants one let me know we’ve loads of the bloody things). Worthy mention goes out to Matt’s Guinness and Chocolate cupcakes, I’ve had them before and they are as great as I remember them.

This weekend I dunno about Friday pub as a few people are away and i’ve got to go and see someone for an hour or 2, although thats not till 7:00 so hopefully I’ll get a swift pint in.Other weekend manouvers include 2 birthday parties and allotment stuff as well as catching the tail end of the paralympics.

I could do with a good moan about something but I can’t think of anything off hand to get my teeth into. Overpriced bin liners are definatly something I have an issue with, as well as that tiny tit in a beard Bill Oddie (or Odd Billy if you will) and really crap music on repeat on the radio. Also getting my goat is the amount of adverts on the paralympics on channel 4. Sometimes it’s hitting ridiculous levels, I half expect them to finish, and that dreadlocked bloke in the wheelchair saying ‘welcome back, we have the 100 meters final just after this short break’ and then off to another crappy sainsburys advert featuring David Beckham looking like he’s just been rejected from a Spear Of Destiny covers band.

Also..actually i’ll leave it .
